“And hold on to your words, cuz talk is cheap” That part might seem like he means that she shouldn’t speak, but I think while he’s saying it to her, he means it about himself that he will be holding on to his words, his promise, and that it doesn’t matter what he tells her, because “talk is cheap”. He’s telling her to calm down and take what he’s saying into consideration. At first, it seemed kind of detached from the rest of the song, but if you look closely it makes sense. These are the last verses before the ending chorus. The chorus, once again, restates the ideas it had the first time through. Though he gave in, it was always her he wanted. She thought he was better than that, but he gave in. He didn’t mean for it to happen, and he promised he wouldn’t do it again. He must have cheated on her at least twice before. This whole section confirms my suspicions. Fall Lyrics Intro Fall, fall, fall, fall, fall, fall (f-f-fall) Verse 1 I wanna lose myself in love Let you have me completely If I give you all my trust Can I just let me. He then goes on saying that she’s unlike anyone he’s ever met. As your body decays, yeah (Tow your line and play their game) Yeah, let the anaesthetic cover it all Til one day they call your name) You know its time for the hammer to fall, yeah Rich or poor or famous For your truth its all the same Yeah baby (Oh no, oh no) Oh, lock your door but rain is pouring Through your window pane (Oh no) Baby. When he says “Don’t make me change my mind” it shows that he might go back on his words, and hints that maybe he has before. Would it be wrong if I (would it be) fall (would it be) for you (soooo wrong) Would it be wrong if I (would it be) fall (would it be) for you (so wrong) Would it be wrong if I (would it be) fall (would it be) for you (soo wrooong) Would it be wrong if. There’s an interesting part though, that makes it apparent the he is in control of the relationship. In the chorus he is clearly telling her to wait and see they’ll have good nights again (and again). “I know you’re wearing thin down to the core” He knows she’s coming to her breaking point with something he’s doing. It also implies that it’s been so long since they’ve had a good night, he can’t believe there was a time where they didn’t fight at all. “Could it be that we have been this way before?” To me, the way the guy says that, shows that he’s a little sarcastic questioning if they had ever gone a night without fighting. Autumn Leaves by Nat King Cole (1955) This trackoriginally sung in Frenchhas been covered countless times (by icons like Bing Crosby, Doris Day and Frank Sinatra, to name a few. To reduce the chances of breaking a bone if you do fall, make sure that you get enough calcium and vitamin D.The intro makes it obvious that the song is a guy telling his girl about his relationship with her, and that they are always fighting. For example, you can get rid of tripping hazards and make sure that you have rails on the stairs and in the bath. And you can look for ways to make your house safer.
